Office 2010 applications crashing when accessing SharePoint content.
What is happening?
We have identified that Office 2010 applications such as Word and Excel will sometimes crash when trying to access content from University SharePoint web sites.
What should you do?
If this is happening to you then you should upgrade to Office 2013.
To upgrade to Office 2013:
Close all Office applications (Access, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word)
Click on the Start menu on your PC; go to All Programs > Microsoft System Center 2012 > Configuration manager > Software Center.
Microsoft Office Professional 2013 is listed under the Available Software tab.
Installing Office 2013 will automatically remove Office 2010 from your PC.
