"Beyond the Semitone": a Symposium on Tuning, Scale Systems, and Microtonality in Historical and Contemporary Contexts
A new conference, "Beyond the Semitone", held in conjuction between the University and sound festival will start today and will run until Sunday the 27th October. The long weekend of events will feature lectures and discussions, lecture-recitals, workshops and evening concerts featuring the Edinburgh Quartet, Combassal, and members of the Syrian group Al-Kindi.
