Another phishing email
What is happening?
IT Services are aware of an email circulating with the Subject “URGENT NOTICE FROM HELPDESK". Please be advised, this is not from the Service Desk and should be ignored and deleted.
Whilst we realise the email came from an @abdn.ac.uk email address, it was a phishing email. Spammers are becoming more sophisticated in their attempts to obtain your private credentials and we appreciate your continued vigilance in these matters.
What should you do?
Please DO NOT respond to phishing emails in any way.
We have taken steps to block the link on our proxy servers but if you are viewing your email off campus, then you are expected to be vigilant and not click on the link.
