The University of Aberdeen’s expertise in the area of renewable energy will be highlighted at this year’s annual renewable energy exhibition and conference, All-Energy 2010.

The University’s College of Physical Sciences will host the Energy Technologies Partnership stand alongside Robert Gordon University, the Scottish European Green Energy Centreand the Energy Technology Partnership at the two day conference, which takes place from May 19 – 20 at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Energy experts from the University will use the conference – which is Europe’s largest event devoted to all forms of clean and renewable energy - to highlight ways in which industry and academia can work together to develop energy research.

Current energy research activities which are ongoing at the institution will also be showcased, alongside details of energy related teaching programmes available to prospective students.

Professor Paul Mitchell, Director of Energy Technologies at the University of Aberdeen said of the event: “All-Energy 2010 presents an opportunity for the University of Aberdeen to showcase the strong research which is ongoing at the institution in the area of renewable energy.

“The University is committed to the development of industry-focussed degree programmes which provide graduates with the skills and knowledge required to enter the rapidly developing energy sector.

“The strong portfolio of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses- which allow those already working within the energy sector to develop and hone their skills – will also be highlighted at the conference.”
