Aberdeen victorious in 15th universities' boat race

Congratulations go to the University of Aberdeen Boat Club after they crossed the finishing line first in the 15th Aberdeen Asset Management Universities’ Boat Race.

Aberdeen took the trophy over Robert Gordon University after completing the 3.5km race in 9 minutes 30.8 seconds – two and a half lengths ahead of their rivals.

It is the 13th time Aberdeen has rowed to victory in what is Scotland’s longest running rowing race.

The race – from the Bridge of Dee to Aberdeen Boat Club in Torry - took place yesterday (Sunday).
