Professor Gearoid Millar, Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies will give a talk entitled “21st Century Challenges to Peace: Reconfiguring the Field” on 10 November at Conciliation Resources.
The talk will address how peacebuilding approaches can reconfigure to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Drawing on more than 150 interviews with academics, practitioners, funders, publishers, and professionals working across peace, business, engineering, climate action, and the arts, Professor Millar’s research highlights significant concerns from across the sector.
Professor Millar coordinates the MSc programmes in Peace and Conflict Studies and Policy Evaluation at Aberdeen and has published extensively in leading journals including Journal of Peace Research, Cooperation and Conflict, and International Peacekeeping. He is the author of four books and over two dozen journal articles in the field of Peace and Conflict Studies.
