The School of Divinity, History, Philosophy and Art History is hosting the upcoming international workshop of the Arab-German Young Academy entitled “Beyond Eurocentrism and Arabocentrism: Race, Ethnicity, and Knowledge Production in the Arabo-Islamic 'Golden Age'”. The workshop is taking place in Aberdeen on 12-13 September 2025. It is co-organised by Dr Jakub Zbrzezny (Divinity Department), along colleagues from Freie Universität Berlin (Prof. Florian Zemmin), United Arab Emirates University (Dr Hany Rashwan), University of California, Los Angeles (Prof. Nile Green), and Università degli Studi di Padova (Prof. Nicola Carpentieri).
