ACE aims to recruit members of the public at the Tall Ships festival to the 'Lime or Brine' trial

On Monday 21st July, members of the Aberdeen Centre for Excellence (ACE) public engagement group will be sail-ebrating the Tall Ships Races by taking part in the University of Aberdeen’s programme of maritime themed events based in the Discovery Zone in Aberdeen’s Castlegate: https://www.abdn.ac.uk/events/tall-ships/.

ACE’s Public Engagement Group aim to recruit members of the public by inviting them to step on board the HMS UoA and take part in the ‘Lime or Brine’ trial. They will be telling the new recruits all about the 18th century James Lind study of scurvy treatments and how he saved lives at sea, as well as discussing the work we do in the field of health services and why it is important.
