Staff are invited to volunteer at the annual Torcher Parade in April. A mixture of staff, students and alumni will steward the event.
The parade to end all parades, the jewel on the Charities’ Campaign’s crown! It is a must to both see and participate in.
Over 80 torch bearers lead more than 2000 students in fancy dress on over 40 floats around the city centre. Outfits and floats range from silly to outrageous, with stars from “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” rubbing shoulders with the cast of “Harry Potter”, competing for donations.
With over 120 years of history and revered by the local community, it raises more than £10,000 a year.
