Business School and Sanda University sign a Memorandum of Understanding

On March 19th, the University of Aberdeen Business School welcomed a delegation from Sanda University, Shanghai, China, marking another step towards strengthening international academic collaboration.

Professor John Skatun, Dean of the Business School, warmly received the delegation and provided an insightful introduction to the University and the Business School. The visit highlighted the Business School's commitment to fostering global partnerships and enhancing educational opportunities for students from both institutions.

A key milestone of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two universities. Professor Siladitya Bhattacharya, Vice-Principal of Global Engagement at the University of Aberdeen, formalised the agreement, paving the way for closer academic cooperation.

Sanda University is currently in the process of developing 3+1 articulation programmes for postgraduate taught (PGT) study with the Business School. These programmes will enable students from Sanda University to complete three years of undergraduate study in China before progressing to a final year at Aberdeen, earning a postgraduate qualification.

Joyce Chen, Director of Internationalisation at the Business School, shared her thoughts on the visit: "It was a very productive meeting, and we look forward to enhancing educational collaboration with Sanda University. We also welcome Sanda's students to pursue their Master's or PhD studies at Aberdeen Business School."

In addition to the articulation programmes, discussions also focused on exploring further collaborative projects to strengthen the partnership between the institutions.
