Dr Razi and Dr Nadia conducted a workshop for Snoonu staff members titled “Supporting Employee Mental Health and Well-Being.” Topics discussed included understanding mental health, the leader’s role in supporting mental health, building a supportive culture, strategies for supporting mental health, initiatives for promoting mental health awareness, ways to reduce stigma around mental health and encouraging peer support and creating open dialogues. Participants were guided to create action plans outlining one or two steps they would take to support mental health in their own teams or organisations. At the outset, it was emphasized to participants that we were approaching these issues from the perspective of academics researching these topics within the context of public health and management and leadership.
