Recognising ongoing suffering in Middle East

Dear colleagues, students, and friends of the University,

From today, we will fly the University flag at half-mast above King’s College in recognition of the horrific suffering caused by the conflict in the Middle East.

Our thoughts remain with everyone impacted by the loss of life and ongoing humanitarian crisis, and with those in our University community who have lost family members or colleagues and need our support and compassion. We also recognise that many continue to be impacted by the war in Ukraine and also need our support.

A reminder that our International Conflict webpage is available with advice, support and information that may be of assistance at this deeply troubling time. The Disasters Emergency Committee has information on fundraising campaigns launched by 12 of its member charities to help civilians affected by the violence.

Best wishes
