Professor Jaya Jayasinghe was awarded the 2023 Excellence in Dental Education - Mature Career Educator award by the Association of Dental Education in Europe (ADEE).
This award was presented at ADEE’s annual meeting at Liverpool on 22-25 August 2023. These awards aim to reward the highest standards of learning and teaching in dentistry and within society. Professor Jayasinghe played a pivotal role in establishing the Dental Institute’s curriculum and became the inaugural staff member of the Institute in 2008. Professor Jayasinghe became actively engaged with ADEE in 2010. Professor Jayasinghe’s involvement in special interest groups and collaborative efforts with European schools had a big impact on the development of Institute’s pedagogical practices.
