“The main reason I chose to study at the University of Aberdeen is because of the University's reputation itself. I researched the University and based on my reading, it is known for its academic excellence and research-led teaching.
“As well as that, it has a beautiful campus with modern facilities, including libraries, sports centres, student accommodation, and social spaces. The Student Support provides excellent support to its students, including academic support, career advice, and counselling services.
“It also has a vibrant student community with a range of clubs, societies, and events. What I love the most is the international opportunities. The University has a global outlook and offers study abroad programs, exchange programs, and international research collaborations.”
During her studies, Jane has overcome challenges. But with the help of the people she’s met during her time in Aberdeen, she’s been able to reach her goals.
“The highlights of my time at the University are meeting new people and forming lifelong friendships. I've made friends from Italy, Mexico, Indonesia and Finland. I also gained invaluable knowledge and skills in my chosen field of International Human Resource.
“I was battling with depression for almost six months after arriving in Aberdeen. Fortunately, I managed to overcome my personal challenges to succeed academically by making new friends here.”
After all her hard work, Jane isn’t stopping there – she is looking ahead to the future and has already started to put her next steps into action.

“It brings me a sense of accomplishment, relief, and excitement for the future because graduating often signifies the completion of a long journey of education and personal growth. It can open up new opportunities and possibilities for myself.
“I have so many plans in mind for the future. I am looking forward to advancing to a higher position within my department. For my personal development plan, I want to work on self-improvement in areas such as physical fitness, mental health, or emotional intelligence.
“Last but not least, I want to pursue a Doctorate Business Administration. I enrolled for it early this year and started my classes in April!”
