BBC Presenter to Give Talk for Satrosphere’s Birthday

The presenter of the major BBC television series “Earth Story” will answer some difficult questions about the future of life on earth during a lecture on Friday, February 18th as part of Satrosphere’s Tenth Birthday celebrations.

Professor Aubrey Manning of Edinburgh University will speak at the Fraser Noble Building at the University of Aberdeen at 7:30 pm. Admission is free, and families are welcome.

The lecture, entitled “Life on Earth”, will pose such questions as “How does our planet work?” and “Do we have a future on earth?” and will examine how life came to be on Earth, and what its future might be. Professor Manning will examine the repeated events that have exterminated life on a large scale, and the chances of such events happening again.

Satrosphere is planning a week of special events to celebrate its Tenth Anniversary on February 15th. Satrosphere presents the lecture in conjunction with the British Association, Aberdeen branch.
