Aberdeen University launches new business development courses

The University of Aberdeen's Prospect CPD Unit is launching a series of cross-industry business development courses aimed at managers and professionals, beginning at the end of February.

The courses will address key issues facing all senior personnel in the development and growth of their business – either small, independent business or part of a large corporation.

Jacqui Allen, Course Organiser for Prospect CPD, said: “We have developed these courses with the Department of Management Studies in response to a number of enquiries for training in high level business development techniques. The expertise available here at the University will enable us to share ideas and introduce interesting techniques for today's managers to consider and use when developing and growing their organisations.”

The five stand-alone courses will be run over one/two days from the end of February. Subjects to be covered include:

- Communicating to Succeed

- Managing Growth in SMEs

- Marketing Professional Services

- Managing Change

Prospect CPD is the central focus for all continuing professional development provided by the University and provides a range of training and development programmes, courses and conferences to enhance work-related skills. Prospect CPD can deliver open courses or tailor training to the needs of an individual business or organisation.
