New content management system

New content management system

The University will be replacing the Content Management System (CMS) behind the majority of its web presence in 2023.

OpenText, which we have used for over 10 years, is being retired by the vendor. Following a thorough procurement process we have signed a contract with Terminal Four which specialise in the Higher Education market, with university customers around the world

In preparation for the migration to the new system we will be getting in touch with many of you early in the new year, to provide you with guidance and support to audit your existing content. This will be a great opportunity to review your content, remove pages which are out of date and no longer needed, and feedback on how we can configure Terminal Four to improve content management across the University.

A little later in the year we will embark on a programme of training for all web editors, sharing the new features and making you comfortable with the new system prior to the launch.

We will share more information as the project progresses, but if you would like any more information please contact digital-comms@abdn.ac.uk.
