HERU are currently advertising a PhD opportunity through the Medical Research Council (MRC) Trials Methodology Research Partnership (TMRP) Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP). The PhD will look at 'Optimising the collection and use of health economic data within trials'.

The project supervisors are Dr Dwayne Boyers and Dr Graham Scotland of HERU, and Dr Laura Ternent of the Newcastle University. Note that a Master's degree in a relevant quantitative discipline, such as economics, health economics, statistics or operational research is required and that, before making an application, applicants should contact the primary supervisor to discuss their interest in the project.

The application is for a PhD Studentship from the MRC TMRP DTP. Funding will cover tuition fees at the UK rate, a Research Training and Support Grant (RTSG) and stipend.

There are more details of the project, and the application procedure at the project listing on the FindaPhD site.

The closing date for applications is 18 February 2022.
