What is happening?
The University VPN service, sma.abdn.ac.uk, will be undergoing maintenance from 6pm on Wednesday 25 August until 3am on Thursday 26 August.
During this time period the VPN service will be entirely unavailable.
Why is this happening
We need to install critical updates and security patches on to the VPN servers.
There is never a good time to install such updates but our engineers are working through the night to try and minimise the impact to the University community.
What should you do?
We recommend that you disconnect from the VPN before 6pm and do not try to use the service again until Thursday 26 August.
