The University of Aberdeen has been accepted as an Official Observer Organisation at COP26.
Staff and students can now apply for the opportunity to attend COP26 as an official observer. The event takes place in Glasgow between October 31 – November 12 (inclusive).
The UN has opened registration for observer passes and the process to apply (designed by COP26 organisers), is that the University of Aberdeen collects expressions of interest from staff and students and forwards these to the UNFCCC who will then allocate passes based on submissions. It is anticipated that demand will outstrip supply.
Deadline for applying is Friday 27 August at 5pm.
