IT Services are adding new shortcuts - 'Map UOA Shares', and 'Log an IT Fault' - to the desktops of University managed PCs. You will notice these appearing over the next few days.
Reconnect network drives
With so many of us working off-campus, network drives can sometimes stop appearing. The Map UOA Shares desktop shortcut on your University device will allow you to reconnect your network drives and fileshares.
We are investigating this issue and looking at permanent solutions, but in the meantime, this shortcut will reconnect your drives with a single-click.
IT Service Desk on your desktop
The Log an IT Fault shortcut takes you to the IT Service Desk portal where you can chat to us in real-time during working hours, and find self-help solutions. See our other news item for more about the new Chat service.
This shortcut will also appear on the desktops of classroom PCs.
