Dr Natasha Danilova reports on Carnegie Trust project

Dr Natasha Danilova, from the School's Politics and International Relations department, has used a series of recent online events to disseminate research from her Carnegie Trust-funded project 'War Commemoration, Military Culture and Identity Politics in Scotland'.

Dr Danilova, together with Dr Emma Dolan (formerly of the department, now University of Limerick) and Dr Kandida Purnell (also formerly of the department, now Richmond University London) who both worked as Research Assistants on the project, discuss the use of Feminist and Poststucturalist IR, critical methods in researching war, military museums as sites of curating/ producing conflict and the imagined past, present and future of female/ queer soldiering captured through theatre productions.

In the first of these talks, Dr Danilova and Dr Dolan discussed Researching War through Feminist, Poststructuralist IR at the BISA 'Critical Concepts and Critical Methods' working group.

In two further upcoming online events, Dr Danilova will talk about female soldiering at a BISA Critical Military Studies panel on 8 October and one the following day (9 October) on Curating Conflict.  The events will be hosted on Zoom, and you can register to attend at the links.
