We are proud to announce that Dr Sheila Young, Honorary Research Fellow and alumna of the Elphinstone Institute at the University of Aberdeen, has just published her book 'Prenuptial Rituals in Scotland: Blackening the Bride and Decorating the Hen'.
The book, based in part on her PhD work, has received very positive reviews, and is published as part of the series, Studies in Folklore and Ethnology: Traditions, Practices, and Identities, published by Lexington Books.
