Congratulations to Thomas Michie, a music student in Aberdeen, who has been Highly Commended in The Global Undergraduate Awards.
The award was for his essay ‘Twenty-First Century Gesamtkunstwerk: Multi-Medial Staging in Contemporary Musical Drama’, which he submitted on the course Contemporary European Opera in session 2017-18, as part of his BMus degree. His submission has been judged to be in the top 10% of the papers submitted to the Music, Film & Theatre category. Thomas is currently in the process of compeleting an MMus in musicology in Aberdeen. We wish him all the very best next week when the Global Winners for each category in the competition will be announced, as well as the Regional Winners.
