Staff and students at the Health Services Research Unit at University of Aberdeen are busy preparing for International Clinical Trials Day - celebrated on 20th May each year

This year we have activities planned throughout the week 20-26th May 2018.

Some of the activities are highlighted below – keep an eye on our news pages and our twitter feed @hsru_aberdeen for updates!

20-23rd May – International Clinical Trials conference

Seven HSRU researchers will be presenting their work and hosting workshops at the Society of Clinical Trials International Conference, Portland, USA

21-25th May – Information boards at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary

All week, our Clinical Trials Unit (CHaRT) will be hosting information boards at the rotunda entrance of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Posters and information will highlight the importance of clinical trials and provide information for patients and relatives about local clinical trials, alongside colleagues from the Scottish Cancer Research Network, SHARE and NHS Grampian Research and Development Unit.

22-23rd May – A fun, clinical trials themed, event for primary school children

A Trial at Sea! How to find out which medicines work best.Our public engagement group are running this event as part of the University of Aberdeen May Festival – explaining the importance of clinical trials to primary school children. 26th May– Soapbox Science Event

Statistician and public engagement enthusiast, Beatriz Goulao will be getting up on her Soapbox along with researchers across the North East of Scotland as part of the Soapbox Science event organised by our very own Heidi Gardner as part of University of Aberdeen’s May Festival.
