Music at Aquhorties College
Founded in 1799 Aquhorties College existed to train students for the Catholic priesthood in Scotland at a time when the Church had only recently been granted freedom of worship. Music was important to the life of the college, and a manuscript collection of music found in Edinburgh throws light on the repertoire.
