The post will be based in the SIRG Research Group (part of the School of Geosciences).  SIRG (Sand Injectite Research Group) is an externally funded research group funded by a consortium of energy companies

Job Description

The main purpose of the role is to lead and deliver geophysical research within SIRG, with a primary focus on the imaging, characterisation and dynamic understanding of sand injectite systems in the North Sea and related analogue datasets. The postholder will develop and apply advanced quantitative geophysical workflows that integrate seismic, well, core, outcrop and simulation data, and will contribute directly to sponsor-facing technical delivery, proposal development and future research design.

Salary will be at Grade 7, £47,389.00 per annum.
