Congratulations to the winner of the Toulmin Prize 2025
Marka Rifat is the winner of the Toulmin Prize 2025, with her winning story, Thyme's Arrow, the first science-fiction tale to win the Toulmin Prize. Marka read aloud her story to an enthralled audience at the prizegiving event at the WayWord Festival at the Sir Duncan Rice Library on Friday, 3 October. Sheena Blackhall read excerpts from a Toulmin story, and Lesley Crerar, BSL signer, signed the event.
Marka was presented with a £500 prize, generously donated by the Reid family.
