Aberdeen and Beyond Storytelling Festival
Norwegian storyteller Mimesis Heidi Dahlsveen shares stories on the inevitable concept of death and, throughout the evening, we encounter death as it is characterized in Norwegian folktales, legends, and Old Norse poetry and prose. This storytelling performance will explore the topic with a distinct emphasis on both the poetic and the humorous.
Mimesis Heidi Dahlsveen is a storyteller and associate professor in oral storytelling and has worked within this artistic and performative field since 1996 both at home and abroad.
This event is co-organised by the Grampian Association of Storytellers and sponsored by the Scottish Storytelling Centre as part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival.
We are thankful to Performing Arts Hub Norway and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for awarding a travel grant to make this event possible.
