Elphinstone Institute Public Lecture Series

6.30pm, MacRobert Building 051 | Donations on the door for Aberdeen Social Centre

Trade union activist Andrew MacGregor will discuss the fascinating history of protest in Aberdeen from the eighteenth century to the present day. Although Aberdeen could not really be called ‘Red Aberdeen’, the city did, from at least the 1820s, play its part, and most social and political movements had individuals or organisations active in the city.
