Join the University of Aberdeen Department of Art History for 'The Scottish Colourists: From the Wall to the Page', an in-conversation featuring art historian Alice Strang and journalist Magnus Linklater, with an opportunity to visit the exhibition, Aberdeen Artworlds: The Linklater Collection.
A fresh look at the radical group of painters who enlivened the Scottish art scene with vibrant colours inspired by trips to avant-garde France: Samuel John Peploe, John Duncan Fergusson, George Leslie Hunter and Francis Campbell Boileau Cadell.
Alice Strang’s latest book brings together both popular and rarely seen imagery along with new research to take a fresh look at the fascinating and international lives of the four artists.
Attendees will have the chance to view paintings by Peploe, Fergusson and Hunter up close in the Aberdeen Artworlds: The Linklater Collection. exhibition.
