Celebrate the Year of the Horse at the Zoology Museum as part of the Spring Family Festival
The Zoology Museum will be open from 10am - 4pm as part of the Spring Family Festival on Sunday 22 February. Welcome to a world of hooves, manes, tails and more! Entry is FREE and we are open to all.Activities
- Have a go at the Lego Horse Race. See if you can find Lego horses and their minifigure jockeys in different locations across the Zoology Museum and Elphinstone Hall.
- Year of the Horse Horseshoe Trail. To continue the horsey theme, follow a trail of horseshoes. Each horseshoe comes with a Horse Fact. Complete all the questions and claim a sticker!
- Enjoy some creative time at the Colouring Table in the foyer.
- Take one of our Puppet Pals with you on a self-guided Scavenger Hunt around the galleries.
Useful Information
- Visitors are welcome to use University car parks for free on the day of the event.
- The Zoology Building is accessible through the Cruickshank Botanic Garden.
- There is also an accessible lift from the Zoology Building car park.
- The Upper Gallery is accessible by ramp and the Lower Gallery by lift.
- Please notify us ahead of the event if you have any specific access requirements. Please note the the lifts are not suitable for large powered wheelchairs.
