Looking for things to do during the school holidays? Come along to the University of Aberdeen's Zoology Museum and Library Gallery.
Zoology Museum
- The Zoology Museum is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm during the Holidays.
- Entry is FREE and we are open to all.
- Welcome to a world of skeletons and specimens, reptiles, fish, primates and more!
Activities
- Have a go at the Lego Horse Race. We have hidden 12 Lego horses and their minifigure jockeys in different locations across the Zoology Museum. Find them all and claim your sticker!
- Year of the Horse Horsehoe Trail. To continue the horsey theme, we have set up a trail of horseshoes. Each horseshoe comes with a Horse Fact. Complete all the questions and claim your sticker!
- Enjoy some creative time at the Colouring Table in the foyer.
- Take one of our puppet pals with you on a Scavenger Hunt around the galleries.

University Collections Gallery
- The Gallery is open Monday to Friday from 11am to 5pm during the Holidays.
- It is located on the ground floor of the Library, next to the Cafe and Welcome Desk.
- Entry is FREE and we are open to all. You do not need to be a member of staff or a student to visit the Gallery or to use the Library Cafe.
- The current exhibition is Aberdeen Artworlds: Linklater Collection
Activities
- Enjoy some creative time at the Still Life Colouring Table.
- Play Art Gallery Bingo! See if you can find everything listed on the Aberdeen Artworlds Bingo Card. If you get a FULL HOUSE claim a sticker from the Library Welcome Desk!
Parking
Monday 30 March - Friday 10 April - parking is available to Museum & Library visitors
Visitors to the Zoology Museum and/or Library will be able to use the Zoology Building car park and other University Campus car parks over the holiday period. A temporary Easter holiday parking location code for visitors will be activated from 30 March and will be available via the PayByPhone app/website. Instructions will be displayed on the Zoology Building entrances.
- Please note that parking outside of the holiday period is reserved for staff and students.
- Blue badge holders are welcome to use the disabled bays in the car parks.
- Alternative parking for visitors can be found on the Chanonry and Bedford Road (both are pay and display).
