University Collections is delighted to be joining in with the Confucius Institute's Spring Family Festival to Celebrate the Lunar New Year on Sunday 2 February!
Come along to the Zoology Museum to celebrate the Year of the Snake as part of the Lunar New Year Family Festival at the University of Aberdeen.
What's happening at the Zoology Museum:
Critter Keeper
Live animals in the ABC classroom. There will be two time slots: 10:00-11:30 & 14:30-16:00. Entrance will be on a first-come, first served basis. At busy times you may need to queue. Please be aware that this is a popular attraction and we cannot guarantee everyone will get to see the animals.
Paper Python crafts
We'll be making spiral snake mobiles and paperchain pythons in the foyer.
Zoology Tours
Short Tours of some of the Zoology Museum's highlights will take place at 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00 and 15:00 and will last between 20-30 minutes. Tours start at the Zoology Building foyer welcome desk. No need to book.
Lego Trail
Find the 12 Lunar New Year animals and enter the prize draw to win a Lucky Cat Lego kit!
Enjoy a fun-filled day with activities spread across three venues: Elphinstone Hall, the Zoology Museum and the Sir Duncan Rice Library.
All activities are FREE, no booking, open to all.
The University's Car Parks are also FREE on the day of this Event.
