A great place to visit with family and friends.
The University of Aberdeen's Zoology Museum is open 10am-4pm Monday to Friday during the October School Holidays. Enjoy our fantastic displays and have a go at some activity sheets whilst you are here. The displays are worldwide in scope, from starfish to the great whales, and include taxidermy, skeletons, fluid-preserved specimens and models. Entry is FREE. Donations welcome.
Bat Trail
This October, to link in with our Fear & Fascination: Gothic Exhibition in the Sir Duncan Rice Library Gallery, we have created a BAT TRAIL. Find the BATS, fill in the FACTS then claim a BAT STICKER!
Why not pop over to the Library to see the vampire bat skull we have on display! The Gallery is on the ground floor of the Library and open to ALL.

Student-led Tours
Join a tour to hear about the skeletons and specimens, reptiles, fish, primates and more! Student guides are ready to give you, your family, and your friends FREE tours of the amazing life of this planet. If you would like to join a lunchtime tour of the Zoology Museum, booking is recommended:

October Parking & Access
- During the October Holidays campus parking is reserved for staff and students.
- Alternative parking for visitors can be found on the Chanonry and Bedford Road (both are pay and display).
- Blue badge holders are welcome to use the disabled bays in the Zoology Building/Cruickshank car parks.
- There is a disabled access lift from the Zoology Building car park to the foyer. If you have a large mobility/electric wheelchair, please contact us before your visit so that we can assist with your access needs.
-
If you are visiting with a buggy or wheelchair, parking on the Chanonry and entering via Cruickshank Botanic Garden is much easier as it avoids stairs.
Thank you for your understanding.
