Last year Research Data Scotland along with colleagues at EPCC at the University of Edinburgh, ran a user survey as part of the Connect 4 project to help understand researcher requirements around metadata when applying to access secure data. Responses to this survey provided useful insights about metadata catalogues and have helped RDS establish a baseline of knowledge around different data discovery journeys for UK researchers.

As a result of the outcomes of that survey, the Connect 4 team have been working on tools that create enhanced metadata for sensitive data. We would be grateful if you could complete a short follow-up questionnaire to help guide the final aspects of the project and to validate that the work that has been done to date will be helpful to researchers in a range of domains and subject areas.
