Today we were delighted to host a launch event for our British Academy ODA Research Management Capacity Strengthening 2024 award: INSPERation: Advancing Research Management Capacity for International Data Science Excellence.
This collaboration brings together teams at the University of Aberdeen and Insper University, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Katie Wilde Interim Head of Applications, is the University of Aberdeen Lead for INSPERation, and Katie gave an overview of the background on how the relationship between the Grampian Data Safe Haven (DaSH) and the Insper Data & AI Center started and has flourished. Katie also outlined the overarching aims of this joint project.
Dr Vanessa Boarati, Head of Research Office, Insper, gave an overview of the Research Office/Management Workstream and Dr Suelane Fontes, Head of Data & AI Center, Insper, outlined the Trusted Research Environment Workstream.
There is fantastic institutional support for this collaboration which was expressed by Dr. Cristine Campos de Xavier Pinto, Dean of Research and Graduate Programs, Insper and Professor Nicholas Forsyth, Vice-Principal (Research), University of Aberdeen.
The teams at the University of Aberdeen and Insper look forward to working together to enhance research management capacity for international research and in particular to promote international data science excellence and collaboration.
