While much of the conversation around health data focuses on electronic health records, the true surge of data—what many are calling a “tsunami”—is being generated elsewhere: in our mobile phones. From fitness trackers and symptom monitors to mental health apps and condition-specific tools, digital health technologies are capturing vast amounts of real-time, patient-generated data. In this session, Liz Ashall-Payne explores how we can navigate this rapidly evolving and complex landscape. Drawing on international insights and lessons from other healthcare systems, she will challenge us to think differently about data governance, clinical integration, and the future of health system design in the age of personal digital health.
