A peer-learning and networking workshop for public, third and higher education sector professionals and researchers engaged in improving the use of evidence in local government. This event is a collaboration between Local Area Research + Intelligence Association (LARIA) in Scotland, Office for National Statistics: ONS Local, Improvement Service & Scottish Policy & Research Exchange. 

The session will be highly interactive and include a panel of experts who will share insights and examples from across a range of different policy areas and types of evidence use.

This includes:

→ The evidence base for productivity challenges facing Glasgow City Region (David Boyle)

→ Personal outcomes and meaningful measurement in social care services (Dr Emma Miller)

→ Addressing racial bias and discrimination in data and Artificial Intelligence use (Dr Mark Wong)

→ Using evidence and expertise to inform public service reform (Gerard McCormack)
