HDR UK event
HDR UK Scotland and UK Longitudinal Linkage Collaboration (UK LLC) are hosting a joint webinar to provide an overview of what UK LLC offers to the research community. The presentation will cover what UK LLC is, how it involves the Longitudinal Population Study participants and members of the public across its design and operations, how to apply to access data and next steps. UK LLC is the national Trusted Research Environment (TRE) for data linkage in longitudinal population research. It is run by the Universities of Bristol and Edinburgh, in collaboration with UCL, SeRP UK, Swansea University, University of Leicester and City St George’s, University of London and is a collaboration of over 20 of the UK’s most established Longitudinal Population Studies (LPS). UK LLC brings together LPS data with health, administrative and place-based data and makes it available to UK researchers via a single application. This is a unique resource that enables cross-sector research and supports research responses to immediate situations and future policy needs. The greater availability of large scale, diverse linked data will help provide the numbers for researchers to study rarer outcomes and seldom-reached populations. UK LLC is now encouraging applications from both longitudinal researchers and analysts who use large datasets as part of their research and are interested in the depth of detail present in linked LPS datasets. With over 325,000 participant records in the TRE, datasets, guidance and application portal can be viewed through the following links: - UK LLC Explore: https://explore.ukllc.ac.uk/ - UK LLC Guidebook: https://guidebook.ukllc.ac.uk/docs/welcome.html - UK LLC Application system: https://apply.ukllc.ac.uk/ The UK LLC is currently free to access for early adopters.
