It is unusual to proactively advertise failure. And it is easy to see why. And yet, viewed from the perspective of learning and improving, this is a terrible shame. Arguably, we learn more from failure. Improvements in health and safety will owe more to examples of things going wrong than things going to plan; not replicating past failures is a well-paved route to better futures; and working out what to avoid doing is often easier than knowing what you should do.
This event – run jointly by the HDR UK Midlands, Strategy Unit, and the Midlands Analyst Network event – therefore celebrates and invites the sharing of failure!
