Dr Andrew McLean - Epidemiology and Clinical Outcomes of Hyperkalaemia
Hyperkalaemia is a potentially life-threatening electrolyte abnormality commonly encountered in clinical practice. Despite this, epidemiological studies investigating burden of disease in an unselected population are lacking, with current evidence focussing on specific diseases or clinical subsets. In this talk we will propose our study on establishing how often hyperkalaemia occurs, where it occurs, the clinical decisions that occur and the long-term implications. "
