What is SPSS?
SPSS is a widely used program for statistical analysis in social science. It is also used by market researchers, health researchers, survey companies, government, education researchers, marketing organizations, data miners and others.
Access SPSS
IBM SPSS is available for free on all Classroom PCs. It can be found in the "Common Applications Folder" under "Statistical Software".
All University staff and students can install SPSS on a personal computer through the Software Download Service. You can download the software, installation instructions and license codes for PC, Mac or Linux.
Expiry Warning
If you see an expiry notice upon opening the software, don't worry. University managed Desktop PCs and Macs will auto update with no action required. Users on personal devices or University laptops/Macbooks will need to download the updated software from the Software Download Service.
