At the University staff use two different types of assignment tools:
SafeAssign
Within MyAberdeen, we can create MyAberdeen Assignments and use SafeAssign to check the originality of students’ submissions. SafeAssign compares them against multiple sources to identify areas of overlap between student work and existing publications.
TurnitinUK
TurnitinUK is a third-party tool that is integrated with MyAberdeen. It compares student assignments with online sources including web pages, books, databases of reference material, and content previously submitted by other users across the globe.
