Academic Skills: Neurodivergence
Support at the University of Aberdeen
If you are a student who has a neurodivergent diagnosis, for example Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia, ADHD or ASC, or are experiencing symptoms associated with one of these diagnoses, you may find academic support beneficial during your studies.
In the first instance, you should contact Student Advice and Support who can discuss specific challenges and make recommendations for inclusion adjustments. Student Support staff can also refer you to other University support services such as the Student Learning Service.
The Student Learning Service (SLS) offers 1-2-1 appointments, bookable workshops, drop-ins, and online materials through Achieve (Undergraduate) and Achieve+ (Postgraduate Taught) on MyAberdeen.
You can book a 1-2-1 appointment with the Academic Skills Adviser (Neurodivergence) where you will discuss your individual study challenges and work together to develop strategies to enhance your learning. If you would like to make an appointment, please complete the Specialist Study (Neurodivergent) Advice Request form.
