Wednesday 11 October, 14.00-16.00, A03 Crombie Halls: Engagement and Impact for Career Development

In this Postdoc Masterclass Researcher Development Adviser Dr Claire Hawes will be joined by the University's Impact Manager, Dr Ruth Banks, to give you an overview of this important area, how it can help you to develop your career inside and outside research, and to outline how the University can support you to do this work.

A presentation from the speakers will be followed by plenty of time for questions and discussion, and the opportunity to talk to Ruth afterwards about your own work.

Mentoring

You can join the University's Staff Mentoring Scheme, or speak to your PI or Line Manager about finding a mentor independently.

Leadership

The University runs an accredited Leadership and Management course, the ILM. More details can be found in the Leadership Course Booklet.
