The Green Concrete Project is a large, 4-year multidisciplinary, multimillion US dollar, research project led by Gulf Organisation for Research & Development (GORD). The research consortium consists of UK-based universities led by The University of Aberdeen and local authorities in Qatar. Its primary aim is to develop the next generation of  sustainable, environmentally friendly, affordable green cements and concretes that can be used in the construction of durable, high quality building and infrastructure projects across Qatar, other parts of the Gulf Region and Worldwide.
