Welcome to the School of Engineering at Aberdeen
It's a great pleasure to welcome you to the School whether you are just browsing or seeking specific information on our people, programmes or research activities. Although we are relatively small by many standards, we are vibrant and well founded and are a genuine general engineering unit, unique in Scotland. With around 600 undergraduate and 75 postgraduate students, we provide a friendly and supportive atmosphere for study, scholarship and research.
Our aim is to deliver a distinctive, high-quality research driven experience for all our students and to foster in our students reasoning, communication, entrepreneurial and analytical skills that will enable them to adapt to change throughout their lives.
By attracting and developing outstanding people, we also aim to conduct pure and applied research at the highest levels of excellence.
We have excellent teaching and research facilities and we are currently refurbishing our laboratories at a cost of some £8M. Our activities are supported by extensive computer clusters and a wide range of engineering activities.
If you would like further details on any of our activities, please contact the School at our contact address.
