Video: Create animation with Canva
Create 2D animated videos
Canva now enables you to create animated videos, even with a free account. We've included some video tutorials of the most popular formats to help get you started:
Explainer Animation - is how we'd describe most of the Toolkit videos, short informative videos that explain a topic, process or idea, usually 2D and colourful.
Whiteboard Animation - is an engaging form of story telling which replicates a 'stop-motion capture style'. You can typically see the artist's hand as the animation is 'drawn' on screen.
Documentary Style - is often fast paced, sometimes looks like paper collage, can use mixed media and limited colour palette. This style is often used in news reports.
There are of course, many other styles of animation, we recommend exploring until you find what suits your needs.
