Title Page 2 of 2, My Wee Cripple Wean
Document Reference LO 786.45 Sk3
Format 250 x 348 mm
Medium Printed Music sheet
Item Type Printed Collection
Subject Scottish Music, & Lyrics
Item Description A note at the foot of the page proves that Skinner asked various lyricists to write words to fit his tunes, rather than him setting poems to music. The sentiment in the poem, of disaster striking the family, but of them making the best of what they had in life, was typical of the time, and probably intended as a message of hope.
